About us

Environmental Society of India (Geo Environmental Foundation) (R.) was established in 2006. It is a registered organization, registered under registrar of Society act Reg No: SN/BLU: S220-2006-2007 working for the conservation and Protection of Environment across the country. We are happy to inform you that we are bringing scientific international journal with ISSN/ISSB number.

More than 200 distinguished life Science, Earth & atmospheric science Scientists, Academicians, Environmentalists across the country have become the life members for this esteemed organization.

It is one of the pioneering organizations of India engaged in advances in Environmental sciences and Environmental Protection and Sustainability.

The specific aims and objectives of the society are:

  1. To advance the cause of ecology in India, to encourage and promote ecological studies in the country and to integrate research in different fields of ecology.

  2. To create awareness, conduct research and training for the protection and promotion of public interest, environmental justice with a focus on India and other South Asian Countries, emphasizing article 48(a) & 51a(g) of Indian constitution.

  3. To cooperate with organizations with related aims and interests, and provide opportunities for communication among ecologists, to provide technical know-how for reducing environmental pollution through proper recycling of industrial, agricultural & other wastes.

  4. To help victims of pollution and environmental degradation to seek and obtain social environmental justice.

  5. To work actively for the protection of environment and cultural heritage of India. To work for the protection of rain forests, mangroves, coastal ecology, water, conservation of natural resources, health education, population control and food security.

  6. To implement community oriented research and training programs in the area of public interest and sustainable development & set up information, resource, cultural

  7. To conserve or preserve the natural resources including living and nonliving resources and maintain the ecosystem & To create awareness among local people of environment, ecology, natural food chain, forest, plants, animals and microorganisms of their help and uses.

  8. To establish, promote, set-up, maintain or aid or to help in the setting up of research institutions for conservation of bio-diversity and also educating the people on conservation of forest and forest wealth for maintaining of ecological balance.

  9. To render any assistance in form of cash or kind to people for planting of saplings and also awarding people who are actively involved in conservation efforts.

  10. To render/provide assistance in implementation of any scheme sponsored by the state or central government or foreign countries/institutional for conservation and growing of forest to maintain ecological balance in and around villages, town, cities etc.

  11. To provide/render monetary or other help and assistance or contribute or to donate to any institution establishment or person for conservation of bio-diversity and to preserve forest, forest produces and ecological balance.

  12. To start, maintain and assist any relief measures in those parts of villages where deforestation on a large scale has resulted in the ecological imbalance.

  13. To construct and maintain any institution which is concerned with the afforestation scheme and for planting of trees to improve greenery on a large scale.

  14. To open, establish, promote, set-up, run, maintain, assist, financially support or aid or help in the setting up or maintain or run schools, institutions for bio-diversity conservation through afforestation or environmental schemes in rural and urban areas and also maintain by adopting local and modern technologies.

  15. To meet travelling, boarding and lodging expenses of student who go abroad or to other states/countries to study Afforestation methods and biodiversity conservation.

  16. To publish research articles in journals or books, pamphlets, periodicals, and newspapers in India or outside India and channel the advancement of education and technology towards ecological balance.

  17. To assist or set up or establish nurseries for preservation of medicinal plants, herbs and shrubs, and also educate the people on the importance of preserving and growing medicinal plants in and around the villages, to conduct research on forestry, horticulture, agriculture and animal husbandry.

  18. To establish, promote, maintain or aid or to help in the setting up natural or artificial parks, sanctuaries, zoo and museums for conserving wild plants and animals.

  19. To establish or setup modern research labs including Tissue culture, biotechnology and any molecular biology laboratories to conserve endangered organisms.

  20. Conservation of native germplasm of locally adopted plant, animals and microbial species and also introduction of exotic species to enrich the biodiversity.

  21. To advance the education of the public in the principles and practice of sustainable development. Research into the practice of sustainable development.

  22. To conserve, protect, manage and restore for the benefit of the public the natural resources, animals and plant life of Cornwall and Asia.

  23. To advance the education of the public in the ecology & Environment, conservation and management of different habitats.

  24. To advise on environmentally beneficial buildings and products, using sustainable materials & Advise on sustainable buildings for the use of people with disabilities

To fulfil this objective, we have formed a Society called “GEO ENVIRONMENTAL FOUNDATION” dedicate ourselves, to improve upon the environment standards in India. The Society is an irrevocable Environmental, educational, cultural for the benefit of all persons belonging to whatever community irrespective of Caste, Creed or Religion.

Dr. D. Paramesha Naik

Dr. D. Paramesha Naik, an environmentalist and cultural thinker, was born on August 27, 1973, in Sevalalpura, Pavagada Taluk, Karnataka. In 1998, he was elected Vice President of the Jnanabharathi Student Union. Holding multiple degrees across ten disciplines, including Environmental Science, Geology, Law, and English, he earned his Ph.D. in Environmental Science from Bangalore University and has 25 years of teaching and research experience.

His recommended research report was adopted as a law. He has authored many books on environmental studies, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, depressed community, along with publishing more than 40 research papers in national and international journals. Dr. Naik has also conducted EIA for various state projects, including the Bangalore Metro Rail Project. His contributions to environmental protection and research have earned him several honors, including the Fellow Award and a state Book Award from the Government of Karnataka.
